The Slovenian Research Agency co-finances:
- the printing of original scientific monographs from Slovenian authors
and sources with an introductory study and commentary;
- the printing of foreign language translations of scientific monographs
by Slovenian authors;
- the printing of Slovenian language translations of scientific monographs
by foreign authors, which promote scientific development and Slovenian
scientific terminology.
The monographs must be designed in accordance with international
bibliographic standards, and standards for scientific publications valid in
Slovenia.
The Agency co-finances monographs to lower the price of monographs that are
of fundamental importance to the development of a particular fields in Slovenia
or abroad or of importance to the development of Slovenian scientific
terminology of science.
Funding
The Agency co-finances scientific monographs on the basis of public calls.
Calls are open to organisations in the Agency's register of research
organisations, and to private researchers entered in the Agency's database of
private researchers as well as scientific publishers on the Agency's official
list as defined in the Rules on Co-Financing Central Specialised Information
Centres (OGRS, No. 12/2005).
With Slovenian language monographs from Slovenian authors, the Agency co-finances
the costs of proof reading, the technical preparation of the manuscript for
printing and printing costs. It does not, however, co-finance payment to the
author of the monograph.
The Agency co-finances up to 50 % of the translation costs for foreign
language editions of monographs by Slovenian authors, published by a foreign
publisher.
