The Slovenian Research Agency co-finances the publishing of periodicals with scientific content as well as periodicals that contribute to transferring scientific knowledge into application and technological development.

The periodicals must meet the valid international bibliographic and technical standards for scientific and serial publications.

The Agency co-finances periodicals to reduce their cover price and contribute to the faster dissemination of scientific knowledge in Slovenia and abroad, as well as promoting and supporting public scientific understanding.

Funding

The Agency co-finances scientific periodicals on the basis of public calls. Research organisations in the Agency's databaseof research organisations can respond to the tender, as can scientific publishers from the Agency's official list, as defined in the Rules on Co-financing Central Specialised Information Centres (OGRS, No. 12/2005), as well as associations carrying out research in the public interest.

The production costs the Agency co-finances are printing and pre-printing costs. It does not, however, co-finance payment for the authors of papers.
