Overview

The Slovenian Research Agency co-finances scientific meetings in order to promote the exchange of new knowledge and the transfer of research achievements into practice.

A scientific meeting is a meeting devoted to exchanging and examining the discoveries and attainments of scientific research activities. The concept also implies a meeting devoted to transferring fundamental scientific discoveries into application and technological development.

An international scientific meeting is a meeting that is conducted in a world languages, run by an international programme committee, with at least half of the active participants with papers and invited lectures coming from abroad.

Funding

The Agency co-finances scientific meetings on the basis of public calls. Calls are open to organisations in the Agency's database of research organisations and to associations involved in research activities in the public interest. The Agency co-finances preparatory work to organise meetings, the costs of printing invitations and abstracts, including broader summaries of papers in printed or electronic format, as well as fees for conference space and accommodation expenses for lecturers from abroad.
