The Slovenian Research Agency co-finances scientific meetings in order to
promote the exchange of new knowledge and the transfer of research achievements
into practice.
A scientific meeting is a meeting devoted to exchanging and examining
the discoveries and attainments of scientific research activities. The concept
also implies a meeting devoted to transferring fundamental scientific
discoveries into application and technological development.
An international scientific meeting is a meeting that is conducted in
a world languages, run by an international programme committee, with at least
half of the active participants with papers and invited lectures coming from
abroad.
Funding
The Agency co-finances scientific meetings on the basis of public calls.
Calls are open to organisations in the Agency's database of research
organisations and to associations involved in research activities in the public
interest. The Agency co-finances preparatory work to organise meetings, the
costs of printing invitations and abstracts, including broader summaries of
papers in printed or electronic format, as well as fees for conference space and
accommodation expenses for lecturers from abroad.
